Meet Taukesia Manigault
Founder & CEO of Eden Home Care
Taukesia Manigault, a proud native of Charleston, South Carolina, is the heart behind Eden Home Care. Her journey into caregiving began with a deeply personal experience, when her younger brother was shot at just 15 years old, Taukesia and her family became his primary caregivers. During one of their many heartfelt moments, she jokingly told him, “One day I’m going to start a home health agency so I can take care of you myself.” It was in that moment the vision for Eden Home Care was born.
Taukesia’s professional path started in a nursing home, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care. She later became a caregiver with a local home health agency, quickly gaining a reputation for her compassion and dedication. Her commitment led to a promotion into the agency’s office staff, where she learned the operational side of the business under the mentorship of someone, she used to be close with, and their insight helped shaped my path. Taukesia confidently declared, “I’m going to open my own agency too.”
That dream became a reality with the founding of Eden Home Care, an agency built on love, purpose, and service. Every detail of the care provided at Eden reflects Taukesia’s personal journey, her deep commitment to others, and her unwavering belief in the power of compassionate caregiving.
